Owl Cottage in Norfolk

Owl Cottage is a lovely brick and flint cottage which has been renovated and refurbished throughout by its new owners (work completed April 2012) to make a contemporary holiday home. Downstairs has been opened up to create an open plan kitchen/living area with doors opening onto the garden. Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom, making this a perfect cottage for a family or 2 couples.

Owl Cottage is quietly located in the village of Warham in Norfolk, backing onto Holkham estate land with lovely open views, only minutes walk from the local pub and less than 2 miles from the beautiful coast and the stunning walk at Warham marshes. The bustling coastal town of Wells-nest-the-Sea is only 5 minutes drive away.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. It is so tastefully furnished with all the creature comforts making it a delightful home from home. We will be back!!!

Dear Mark and Paula. Just wanted to say what a wonderful week we had in your cottage. Amazing scenery, lovely long walks with our dog, and a good few pints at the local pub.

Enjoy tramping through golden leaves and woodlands in the autumn, or take a brisk walk in the frosty winter.  Spring and summer are spectacular with colourful wild flowers and sun-washed sandy beaches.

Don’t forget your bike!
There are miles of seafronts and quiet coastal roads to explore. Make the most of Norfolk’s beautiful countryside and keep fit.  Cyclists love North Norfolk because of its consistent terrain, off-road routes and quiet country lanes.  Be sure not to miss the ever-growing Pedal Norfolk event at Holkham each year in May.

Wells/Holkham circuit…

...must see

Hang out with the seals
You really must go and see the seals. The colony at Blakeney (just 7 miles away from the cottage) can be seen all year round and is made up of Common and Grey seals and numbers around 500.  The seals are very inquisitive and often pop up and swim around the boats.
